    1851 1 Rope Walk, Ramsgate, Kent. Matthew is down as Wife's Father a widower. He is with March who on this Census is down as 22 which she was not but on the 1861 she is down as 42 which is correct, so certain this is the correct Mary born 1822 on the chart above.
    1861 1 Rope Walk, Ramsgate, Kent. Matthew is still with his daughter Mary and her family. He is down as Father of Mary WOODWARD a Widower aged 74
    1871 1 Cannon Road, Ramsgate, Kent. Matthew is still with his daughter Mary and family. He is still down as Wife's father a Widower now aged 84

    1851 1 Rope Walk, Ramsgate, Kent. Mary is down as 22 on this Census but she was really 32. She is married to a George WOODWARD and they have the following children Sarah Ann aged 2 born Ramsgate, kent and Martha aged 9 months born Ramsgate, Kent. With the family is Matthew CORNELIUS wife's father a widower.
    1861 1 Rope Walk, Ramsgate, Kent. Mary is down as wife but husband not with her. Children with her are Sarah Ann aged 12, Martha aged 10, Hannah aged 6 and Jane aged 3 all born Ramsgate, Kent. With them is Matthew CORNELIUS, down as Father of Mary WOODWARD, a Widower aged 74, also with the family is an Augustin BOYLE a Lodger aged 26 a Super???mery Clerk in Admiralty born London
    1871 1 Cannon Road, Ramsgate, Kent. Children with George and Mary, Sara A aged 22 a Dressmaker and Jane aged 13 a Scholar both born Ramsgate, Kent. With them is Matthew CORNELIUS Wife's Father a Widower aged 84
    1881 1 Cannon Road, Ramsgate, Kent. Children Hannah aged 26 a Dressmaker and Jane aged 23 both born Ramsgate, Kent
    1891 1 Cannon Road, Ramsgate, Kent, Child Jane aged 33 born Ramsgate, Kent. With them was a Hannah FRY a Visitor aged 36 married aged 36 born Ramsgate, Kent. (So I think Hannah was the daughter who was with her on the 1881 Census) Hannah WOODWARD married June quarter 1889 Thanet district, Kent to a Charles FRY, so proving my theory.

    1861 Census - A John CORNELIUS born 1827 in St Lawrence, Kent was a Butler at 20 Eversfield Place, Hastings, Sussex.
    1871 Not found at present
    1881 28 Pelham Street, St Mary in the Castle, Hastings, Sussex. Child with them Arthur aged 26 a Journeyman Coach Builder born St Leonards on Sea. There were three visitors with them.

    1901 237 London Road, St Mary Magdalene, Hasting, Sussex. John was with a son a William CORNELIUS aged 52 a Coach Builder born St Leonards, Sussex, his wife was Julia aged 50 born St Leonards, Sussex and children William aged 30 a Coach Builder born St Leonards, Sussex, Frank aged 22 a Teacher School born st Leonards, Sussex and Lottie aged 18 born St Leonards, Sussex, Then there is John a Widower, down as Father, Living on own means and then an Ann GREVETT Mother-in-Law a Widow aged 84 born St Leonards, Sussex.
