Family History, Dring Chart 0521 Clark(e) Dring and Emily Hill

1851 Warner Meadow, Somersham, Huntingdonshire. As well as his wife and three children there was a Servant, a John WOODS, aged 20 a Farm Labourer, born Somersham, Huntingdonshire and four lodgers who were all farm labourers. These were Thomas Mitchell, age 21, John Aspinall, age 17, William Lane, age 18 and David Dean a widower age 44, he was born in Pidley, John and William were born in Somersham and Thomas was born in Needingworth, all in Huntingdonshire 1861 Warners Farm, Somersham, also with the family at Warners Farm were two lodgers, a Woolston DRING age 20 an Ag Lab born Somersham Huntingdonshire and a George DRING age 22 an Ag Lab born Somersham, Huntingdonshire. (Must be related somewhere, or at least Woolston) 1881 Broadhurst Buildings, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1891 7 Godfrey Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1881 Broadhurst Buildings, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1891 7 Godfrey Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1901 3 Waimmans Terrace, Dunstan Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire. There was a Polly DRING, daughter-in-law, age 19 a Factory Hand Cotton, born Alford, Lincolnshire with the family, I now notice that Harry has a M next to his name and seeing this I have found his marriage on the BMD. 1911 19 Main street, west Carlton, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. Emily is down as Emily CLAYTON (not DRING) and her maiden name was HILL so had she married again and her second husband had died, Her children are down correctly as DRING. (now found second marriage) There is a death for a John William CLAYTON in Nottingham district Nottinghamshire in 1907 however the aged of John William is given as 38 so born around 1869 making him 20 years younger than Emily, so I am not sure if this is the correct John William CLAYTON. 1881 Broadhurst Buildings, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1891 7 Godfrey Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1901 10 Havenden Street, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, living with the family was John W DRING, age 21 brother, a Coal Carman, born Carlton, Nottinghamshire. 1911 - 1 Graham St Radford Nottingham. With William on this Census was an Annie ROULSTONE a Housekeeper, Married aged 20 a Lace Dresser born Nottingham City, and her daughter Hilda Dring ROULSTONE aged 2 born Carlton, Nottinghamshire. They had three boarders, Elijah CALLADINE aged 27 a Coal Miner Corporal, William CALLADINE aged 18 a Coal Miner Clipper On and Annie CALLADINE aged 20 a Cotton Spinner all born Swanwick, Derbyshire. 1891 7 Godfrey Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire 1901 3 Waimmans Terrace, Dunstan Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire. I am not sure which children belong to Charles and which to Walter as the mothers maiden name is the same but I would think the first two are Charles's children as Walter was not married until the December and the second two are Walter's as the third child is too near to the second the the fourth child is named Walter. Frederick is a Boarder with a Francis TATTON aged 61 a Brickmaker born Snenton, and his wife Harriett aged 59 born Shiply, Derbyshire and their four children. I did not list the children originally but have now found that Frederick actually married one of the children. So the children were Eliza Ann aged 35 a Drawer Lace Manufacturer born Nottingham, James aged 27 Unemployed Motorman, born Nottingham (married - rest of family was in the same household), Cissie aged 20 Lace Hand Drawer Lace Manufacturer, born Nottingham Evelyn aged 16 a Frilling Machinist born Nottingham then there is Susannah E TATTON son's wife married five year, aged 27 a Mander?, born Grantham, Frances N TATTON Granson aged 5 born Nottingham and Gertrude C Granddaughter aged 2 born Nottingham, Nottinghamshire There was a marriage in 1915 in Nottingham of a Frederick DRING to a Cissie TATTON, as this was the surname of the family he was boarding with in 1911 I would think that this is the correct marriage. There are three children with the name DRING with the mothers maiden name as TATTON, the first I would think is definitely a child of Frederick and Cissie and I would think the other two are but they had moved to the Birmingham area Gladys E Dring September quarter 1916 Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Doris E Dring December 1918 Aston Warwickshire Frederick F Dring September quarter 1924 Birmingham Warwickshire 1901 3 Waimmans Terrace, Dunstan Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire. Celia is down as a Niece to an Elizabeth LIMB a Widow a Hotel Keeper born Newark, Nottinghamshire, with Elizabeth as well as Celia is a James WALSTER a Nephew Assistant in Business born Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, Hilda SOAR Niece aged 15 an Assistant in Business born Kimberley, Nottinghamshire and Walter SOAR Nephew a born 1902 Kimberley, Nottinghamshire 1901 3 Waimmans Terrace, Dunstan Street, Carlton, Nottinghamshire.
