1871 Census - High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. It is the ages that are of interest. Amos is 30 and Mary is 50, I am sure it is the correct person but if she is 50 it would mean she was born around 1820, but as we believe she was born in 1811 it means she was really 61 on the 1871 Census and 31 years older than Amos, so quite an age difference. He is down as a Farmer, born in Wistow, Huntingdonshire
    1881 High Street, Warboys.

We have not found any documentary evidence to show that Lucy is a daughter of Thomas and Sarah. However, we are certain that Lucy fits into this family because:
    * Her father was Thomas, a Labourer in 1844. Thomas, husband of Sarah GIFFORD is the only Thomas who, in Warboys in 1844, fits this description.
    * Thomas's grandmother was a Lucy, and two of Thomas's sisters were Lucy
    * Information from the family of Arthur STOKES suggest that Lucy had a sister Mary
    * Information on memorial cards held by Arthur STOKES for Mary and Lucy suggest the two daughters belong in this family
    * Although living with their parents in 1841 we have not found the baptisms of Ann or Elizabeth. These two, and Lucy, could all have been baptised at the same place, as yet unknown.
    * Mary and Lucy were in service in 1841, both living quite close to Thomas and Sarah GIFFORD.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
