    OBITUARY
    MR R. J. JONES
    The funeral took place at Union URC Church, Frodsham on November 2 of Mr Robert John Jones of 12 Riverdale Frodsham who died recently at the Countess of Chester Hospitat, aged 81.
    Mr. Jones, a retired development engineer, was a widower. His wife died of multiple sclerosis in 1951, He is survived by his three children, Olive, Derek and Iris, seven grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
    He was chapel secretary and superintendant of Sunday School at Trinity Methodist, Helsby, until he moved to Frodsham in the early 1950's. In his late 50's he took up diving and was a member of the British Sub Aqua Club and North Wales Underwater Archealogical Associationh. He wrote poetry, many of which were published in the Weekly News, under the pseudonym, POJO (short for Polaris Jones, a name given to him by other divers).
    He was still riding a motor bike until August this year. During World War II, he served with the Royal Air Force, where he became warrant officer. He was a flight engineer on Stirling Bombers.
    For most of his working life, he was an employee of BICC, Helsby.
    The Rev. David Spence officiated at the service which was followed by internment at Frodsham Parish Churchyard.
    Family mourners were: Olive and Brian Dimelow (daughter and son-in-law), Derek and Ann Jones (son and daughter-in-law), Iris and David Coleman (daughter and son-in-law). Andrew and Glenn Dimelow, Mark and Christopher Jones, Dawn, Jillian and Jon Coleman, Carl Jenner, and Richard Jones (grandchildren), Lily and Charles Woodward, Edna and Bill Jones (sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and Harry Ford (niece and husband), Marjorie Hall, Eric Ainsworth (niece and nephew).

    Marriage of Olive JONES and John Brian DIMELOW

    Miss Olive Jones, daughter of Mr. R. J. Jones and the late Mrs. Jones, of 48 Weaver Road, Frodsham, was married at the Trinity Methodist Church, Frodsham, on Saturday, to Mr. John Brian Dimelow, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Dimelow, of 3 Weaver Crescent, Frodsham.
    The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. R. Waugh. The organist, Mrs. Gregory, accompanied the singing of "The King of Love." and "Love Divine,"
    Given away by her father, the bride wore a corded taffeta dress under a high-necked white lace overlay.
    The chief bridesmaid, Miss Sylvia Keating, of Broughton, Chester, wore a dress of lemon lace over taffeta and the younger bridesmaids, the Misses Iris Jones and Lillian Allen wore similar dresses of pink.
    The mother of the groom attended in a mauve nylon dress with accessories to tone.
    Mr. Roy Grice was the best man, the ushers being Messrs. Victor Waters and Derek Jones and the groomsmen being Messrs. G. Eardley, W. Foulkes and D. Ainsworth.
    Following a reception, the couple left for their honeymoon in Austria. For the journey, the bride wore a heather-coloured suit with pink and blue accessories.
