Although I have found the marriage cannot find on 1891, 1901 or 1911 Census at present to prove who she married but as a brother married a MATTHEWS I would think it was likely she married Edward James W MATTHEWS and not the alternative name shown as George HATCH. (Having now got a bit further forward with the Eliza SPARSHOTT on SPARSHOTT 0600 who married a Edward James William MATTHEWS I believe that Harriet and Robert above married cousins from this MATTHEWS family.

Mary Ann Matilda is down as having been married 27 years and having had 3 children all of whom survive at the date of this census. Above the on the same Census form is a Thomas LAKE he was originally down as head but this has been changed to son-in-law he is 34 and is a Corporal in the Royal Marine Light Infantry and born in Shipley, Sussex, then there is Harriet Eliza originally down as wife but changed to daughter, she is 25 and is down as having been married 2 years and having had one child who survives at the date of this Census and she was born in Elson, Hampshire, then there is a Violet Elsie Mary LAKER originally down as daughter but changed to Granddaughter aged 1 and born in Elson, Hampshire. The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
