They had two children, May Sylvia born 1/10/1896 died August 1987, (the 1901 census has her name as Mary, this is wrong) and Percy William born 7/8/1898 and died 11/10/1922. 1861 Census - 55 Buttes Land,? St Leonard, Shoreditch, Tower Hamlet, Middlesex 1871 Census - 57 Edward Street, Bethnal Green, London. - Henry RUMPH is still an Upholsterer, and born in Germany but now has British Subject after his name, Rose is down as born in Devonshire. Children: Henry 19 Polisher born Hoxton, Middlesex, Emma 16 a Paper Gurner? born Hoxton, Middlesex, Maria aged 13 a Domestic Servant born Bethnal Green, Middlesex, Sophia aged 11 born Bethnal Green, Middlesex, William 8 Scholar born Bethnal Green, Middlesex, Wilebred (Mildred) (daughter) 5 born Bethnal Green, Middlesex, George 3 born Bethnal Green, Middlesex 1881 Census - Haberdasher Street, Hoxton New Town, Shoreditch, London, Henry RUMPH has died and Sophia's mother is the Head, she is down as a Needlewoman, and born in Devonshire, then the children are Sophia, 20, Mildred 15 a Milliner, born Bethnal Green, George 13 born Bethnal Green and Alfred 9 a Scholar born Bethnal Green. 1891 Census - 38 Granville Buildings, Shoreditch, London. Then John Henry Rumph was born 28th April 1852 and baptised 11th July 1852 Saint John The Baptist, Shoreditch, London and Maria RUMPH born 5th December 1857 and baptised 23rd May 1858 Saint Matthew, Bethnal Green, London.
