    1881  Census - 11 Broomfield Road, Swanscombe, Kent. Living next door was a John EDMEADES and his wife Sarah aged30. Sarah was down as being born in Swanscombe. Edgar is with them, see Note 3 and 4, so definitely related somewhere, but I think it is to Helen ELLIS and not to the SKEWS family. We have a Sarah SKEWS on SKEWS Chart 0500 but the age and place of birth do not tie up with Sarah EDMEADES. There was also a Bertha EDMEADES, aged 3. Helen ELLIS is down as Ellen on this Census.
