  1. 1881 73 Shepherd Street, Northfleet, Kent. There was a Visitor with the family a Richard R BARVEY born 1862 Gravesend, Kent
1891 Census - 59 Charles Street, Stone, Kent
1893 - 110 High Street, Northfleet, Kent  (address at marriage)
1896 Baptism - 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Annie Susannah and Henry John)
1899 Census 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Ethel)
1901 Census 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent,
1902 104 High Street, Northfleet, Kent. (baptism of Ivy Sophia) I am certain correct baptism at the address is the same as for the family in 1905 but Tryphena is down as Cecilia and the surname is down as REDMOND not STEDMAN but this was James's second name.
1905 - 104 High Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Roy STEDMAN - St Botolph Parish Records). The family were at the same address as James STEDMAN's parents in 1899
1911 Census - 5 Portland Place, Mill Lane, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex
  2. 1881 3 Smith Cottages Grays, Essex. The father was Nehamiah Harrington, there was also a son with this name aged 3, from this I have decided although very difficult to read one of the witnesses at the marriage of Tryphena was either her father or her brother. Tryphena's mother was a Susannah and Tryphena had five siblings on this Census.
  3. 1901 Census 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent
On the 1901 Census it is down as Tryphena Mabel, not as Mabel Tryphena which I had recorded from other sources.
There are the following three children born in Gravesend district with MARTIN as their surname and STEDMAN as their mother's maiden name who I believe are children of this couple
    Cyril S Martin Jan-Feb-Mar 1921 Gravesend Surrey
    Graham S Martin Apr-May-Jun 1923 Gravesend Kent
    Pearl S Martin Apr-May-Jun 1924 Gravesend
  4. 1896 Baptism - 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Annie Susannah and Henry John)
  5. 1896 Baptism - 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Annie Susannah and Henry John)
  6. 1899 Census 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Ethel)
1901 Census 22 Rose Street, Northfleet, Kent,
1911 Census - 5 Portland Place, Mill Lane, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex
  7. 1902 104 High Street, Northfleet, Kent. (baptism of Ivy Sophia) I am certain correct baptism at the address is the same as for the family in 1905 but Tryphena is down as Cecilia and the surname is down as REDMOND not STEDMAN but this was James's second name.
1911 Census - 5 Portland Place, Mill Lane, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex
  8. 1905 - 104 High Street, Northfleet, Kent (baptism of Roy STEDMAN -St Botolph Parish Records). The family were at the same address as James STEDMAN's parents in 1899
1911 Census - 5 Portland Place, Mill Lane, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex
There was a Roy STEDMAN born September quarter
1939 Gravesend district, Kent with STEDMAN as surname and BROWN as mothers maiden name who I believe to be a child of this couple.
  9. 1911 Census - 5 Portland Place, Mill Lane, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex
There was a Pamela L DANN born December quarter
1933 Strood district, Kent with DANN as surname and STEDMAN as mothers maiden name who I believe to be a child of this couple.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
