    Comments
PROBLEM 1- Name of Mary (Sarah) Jane Slade STEMP
    * In the Baptism Register Sarah Jane Slade STEMP's father is shown as Alfred, a Coachman. However, no mother is shown, she died before the baptism took place
    * A Mary Jane Slade STEMP, age 18, so born the same year as Sarah Jane Slade STEMP, married in 1900. There was no birth or baptism for a child of this name. In the Marriage Register the Father of Mary Jane Slade STEMP is shown as Alfred, Coachman. We have assumed Sarah Jane Slade and Mary Jane Slade are the same person.
    * In 1911 she was using the name Jane
    * When she died her death was registered as Sarah Jane S LEE.
PROBLEM 2 - Date of death of father
When she married in 1890 Mary Jane Slade STEMP stated that her coachman father Alfred STEMP was deceased whereas he lived until 1911. Having buried his first wife, Mary Jane STEMP née SLADE in 1882 there is no record of of his daughter living with him and in 1890 he remarried in Somerset and then had seven more children. It is probable that the daughter was brought up without contact with her father and so she thought he had died.

  6. 1901 26 Farm Street, St George, Hanover Square, London. There were two lodgers with the family a Tom READER aged 25 a Coachman Domestic born Baglan, Monmouthshire and a Charles P JOHNSON a Stable Help aged 16 born Bridgewater, Somerset
1911 22 Catherine St Hereford, Herefordshire
  7. 1901 26 Farm Street, St George, Hanover Square, London. There were two lodgers with the family a Tom READER aged 25 a Coachman Domestic born Baglan, Monmouthshire and a Charles P JOHNSON a Stable Help aged 16 born Bridgewater, Somerset
  8. 1901 26 Farm Street, St George, Hanover Square, London.
  9. 1911 22 Catherine St Hereford, Herefordshire

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
