    Notes
There is considerable confusion surrounding this family. There are two Robert STEMPs, one baptised 31st October 1779 in Dunsfold Surrey, the other baptised 28th November 1779 in Cranley, Surrey shown in this family. Information from Janet KELSEY shows George, Leonard and William as sons of this Robert and Mary. Margaret JARVIS states that George was the son of Robert and Eliza (this is the information on the transcript of the Baptism register), and she believes that the parents of Leonard and William are another Robert and Mary. Until such time as we find details on Census Returns of the family of a George and Eliza, and another Robert and Mary the suspect information is in this family.

Comment from John TERRY's web site 2/7/2015
This is a strange Census return; we know that Harvey and Annie were married in 1909  and the census shows that they have been married 1 year and then for the children 4
The 4 surviving has been crossed though and 0 children put in, but there are four children with them, so from this you would think that Harvey had been married before  but on the marriage certificate in 1909 he is down as a Bachelor.
From that we can only assume that they had children before they married but in that case the last one Nellie STEMP daughter aged 1 born in Croydon would have been  born after they married. So why not at least put down 1 child surviving at the date of the Census?
The other children are Annie aged 8, Arthur aged 4 and Sydney aged 2 all born Croydon, Surrey. One final strange entry is in the lines next to Arthur and Sydney and again crossed  through for Infirmity is the words Cripple 22 years, so who does that apply too,? Harvey was a Carman for a Carting Contractor so I would not have thought it was for him,
It cannot be for Arthur and Sydney as they were only 4 and 2 respectively so possibly  for Annie the wife? (as I say a very strange Census return)
    Comment from JKW 3/7/2015
Birth registration for children now found, first three were all registered as HOOK, two had Stemp as a second name.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
