Not having found Henrietta and her STRANGE children on the 1891 census, nor the births for Edith and Walter, nor a GROVES/STRANGE marriage I thought perhaps Henrietta might have been married before and the children would have another name. I chose Walter as the least usual and looked on the 1891 census. I found: 1891 West Street, Lady Mary, Wareham, Dorset Alfred OVENS (30) Jeweller born Lambeth, Surrey Henrietta OVENS (23) born Corfe Castle, Dorset Edith OVENS (4) born Wareham Dorset Walter OVENS (1) born Wareham Dorset Alfred OVENS married Henrietta STRANGE December quarter 1885 Poole District, Dorset Edith Henrietta OVENS born September quarter 1886 Wareham District, Dorset No Walter OVENS, but an Alfred Walter OVENS born September 1889 Wareham District, Dorset No Alfred OVENS death found...but then...
