  1. 1861 Census - The Village, Wormley, Hertfordshire. See comment on Thorogood Chart 0401. However I now think that James and Ann were visiting a relation, possibly a daughter, Ann SURRIDGE a widow a licensed victualler is head of household, (if it had been a son the surname would be SORRELL).  She was 33 so born about 1828 which falls nicely between the Mary we are most interested in and the next child as it appears on the Census John. I am going to add this child. She had two children on this Census. Ann, Aged 4 and George aged 2 both born in Wormley, Hertfordshire. (Have now found the marriage, so even more certain I have it correct). Definitely correct, see Note 20.
  2. 1851 Census - Boreham, Essex. (No address but next to Parsonage Cottage) Ann was a Servant to a Maria HASELFOOT, a widow, aged 64.
  3. 1871 Census - 5 Brunswick Place, Hoxton New Town, Shoreditch St Leonard, London. This is quite a find as Ann's parent are still with her, she has married again, her first two children Ann and George are still with her but are down as ATKINS not SURRIDGE. Ann and John have two of their own children Agnes aged 6 born Shoreditch, London and Florence 4 also born Shoreditch.
  4. I cannot find this family after the 1871 Census at the present time.
  5. Father - Edward -Labourer - on marriage Certificate of George

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
