Emily is down as Jane she has been married 7 years and had 3 children all of whom survive at the date of this census, BUT there are four children on the Census, Children in order they appear, all born Croydon, Surrey, Hilda E aged 4, Dorothy L aged 3, James J aged 1 and then Emily aged 6, why was Emily put down last. 1939 Percy Road, Croydon CB SE25, down as a widow her sonGeorge John and daughter Winifred Dora were with her, there was one record officially closed after daughter Winifred, 1911 25 Elmers Road, Woodside, South Norwood, Croydon, Surrey. There is an Emily on this Census born in 1905, we think that Hilda Emily was entered twice on this census. There is an Emily Hilda born March quarter 1905 but this could be the first child but this conflicts with the Hilda Caroline born in June quarter 1905. The only James is a Percy James born June quarter 1910, so it does appears that the names on the Census do not tie up with how they were registered, but at the mother was down as Jane not Emily I think they were using other names, second names etc which appears quite common at that time for some reason. At present I have left in information for children on the 1911 with the mothers information
