We only have seven, and only seven show up on the 1871 to 1901 Census. However there are two possible gaps where children could be born, 1879 and 1883 or thereabouts. On the BMD there are three children born in Croydon for both these years. It is possible that one of these were children of John and Emma and that they died before the next Census. However as there is so many to choose from we cannot guess which ones are correct. Apparently no cause of death is recorded if a Physician attended, the Physician in the case was a Dr J.A.
