There is a baptism in Wool on 9th April 1764 for a William BROWN which could be this William, his parents are shown as John and Elizabeth. Name BAKER from IGI submitted by a member of the Church Possible death from OPC site. IGI - Baptism and marriage date submitted by a member of LDS church, baptism also on OPC web site. Information for Mary SHORTO 1841 There is a Mary BROWN born 1788 Dorset Independent living at: High East Street, All Saints, Dorchester, Dorset. It would appear that she is living with the family of William WALLIS (40) Tailor, his wife Frances (34), 4 children, Thomas WALLIS (22) Tailor, John BUSHERD (12) Apprentice and Mary WILLS (20) Female Servant There are no clues to indicate whether this is the right Mary. IGI - Baptism submitted by a member of the LDS church, baptism and marriage also on OPC web site. 1841 Little Kimmeridge, Kimmeridge, Dorset 1851 Knighton, Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset 1861 Not found IGI - Baptism and marriage submitted by a member of the LDS church, baptism, also on OPC web site. 1841 Stokeford, East Stoke, Dorset Living next door to sister Matilda STRANGE née BROWN 1851 Stokeford, East Stoke, Dorset Living about three houses away from David and Elizabeth COBB 1861 Stokeford, East Stoke, Dorset as Steven Living next door to a widowed Mary Ann BROWN with son Emanuel (15). Must be connected! IGI baptism submitted by a member of the LDS church. Also on OPC web site but he is down as Stephenson and it says private baptism This baptism was found on the OPC web site. we did not have it before. It does fill a gap in the births of these children. I cannot find a death for Diana but there is a marriage as shown which would fit. IGI baptism submitted by a member of the LDS church. Also on OPC web site 1821 "Of Stoke", East Stoke, Dorset Baptism shows on OPC web site 1841 Not found This baptism was found on the OPC web site. we did not have it before. It does fill a gap in the births of these children. I cannot find a death for William, there is a marriage of William BROWN in East Stoke on 21st May 1838 which could be this William BROWN but he would have been 31 years old, so not certain this was our William's marriage, He married a Marianne PITMAN 1841 Binegar, East Stoke, Dorset as Matilda. Living next door to brother Stephen BROWN 1851 Stokeford, East Stoke, Dorset as Matilda. Living with them was James HOBBS (19) Ag Labourer born Stoke, Dorset. A servant was Elizabeth DOREY (19) born Stoke, Dorset 1861 Black Dog, Stokeford, East Stoke, Dorset as Henriette Matilda 1871 Black Dog, Stoke, East Stoke, Dorset as Henrietta Matilda widow. Visiting them was Elizabeth Henrietta BAGGS (2?) Housekeeper born Southdown, Dorset 1881 Grange Road, Church Knowle, Dorset as a widow. Living with he daughter Matilda COBB and her husband IGI baptism submitted by a member of the LDS church. Also on OPC web site
