    In Tithe map of 1842 owned house, mill and field and paid 14s 10d tithe. Also paid Highway Rate from 1809 and Church Rate 1815. Voted in elections 1832 and 1837 .

  6. 1841 Census - Lower Whitfield, Kent (ages were rounded up and down on this census, so it appears that Joseph and Susannah were the same age, but as Joseph is before Susannah I assume he was the eldest of the two)
    1851 Census - High Street, Walmer, Kent. There was a Sarah MARSH aged 60 a visitor an Annuitant, born Sutton, Kent and a Mary A BELSEY a Servant aged 15 a House Servant born Tilmanstone, Kent with the family.
    1861 Census - 1 Meeting Street, Ramsgate, Kent. There was a Sarah MARSH aged 72 a Lodgers a Fundholder born Sutton, Kent with the family on this Census
    1871 Census - 74 Hardier, Street, Ramsgate, Kent. There was an Alfred DRAYTON, a visitor aged 23 a Carpenter born Canterbury, Kent with the family

    1861 Census - 18 Cannon Street, Dover, Kent. They had a son Henry T aged 1 born Dover, Kent, there was also a Edward OTTAWAW aged 15 an Assistant born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire and a Mary A LAWRENCE aged 21 born Tilmanstone, Kent with the family.
    1871 Census - 5 Dockhead, St Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey, London. There son Henry was 11 a Scholar, with the family was a Richard SUTTON a nephew, aged 21 a Miller born Whitfield, Kent (Ancestry.com index shows the name as LOLLEY on this Census)
    1881 Census - No 1 Trinity Villas, Streatham, London. John, Rebecca and their son Henry (aged 21 an Undergraduate ???)  were with a sister of John's who was the Head of the Household, she was Ann aged 60 owner of House Property, born Sturry, Kent, also with her was her sister Agnes aged 57 born Canterbury, Kent, and also an Owner of House Property
    1891 Census - 6 Norwood Road, St Mary, Norwood, London. Living with them was Ann LILLY, sister aged 70 Living on Own Means born Sturry, Kent and Augusta May LILLY aged 60 sister living on own means, born Canterbury, Kent. There was also a Boarder a John Alexander SEIL? aged 31 a Civil Servant, 1st Division Clerk Admiralty born Liverpool, Lancashire.
    Information for John LILLY
    1901 Census - 233 Norwood Road, Norwood, London Ann and Augusta M were still with him as sisters aged 80 and 70 respectively and both still lving on their own means.
    Information for Henry T LILLY
    1891 Census - 61 Victoria Road South, Portsea, Landport, Portsmouth, Hampshire. He was down as Head of Household but by himself. He was a Schoolmaster.
    1901 Census - Not found at present.
