1861 Census - Dorking Surrey (the next property is called Furlongs, but no name of houses or streets given) Kitty and Thomas are down as daughter-in-law and son-in-law respectively on the 1861 Census. There was also a James HILTON, aged 5 a Nephew born Strood, Kent with the family. 1871 Census - Prince Alberts Row, Westcott, Dorking, Surrey. Just Edmund and Caroline and a Boarder, a Walter CASTLE, aged 11 a Scholar, born Dorking, Surrey and two lodgers. 1881 Census - Prince Albert Row, Dorking, Surrey. A Lodger, a Peter ELMS was with Edmund and Caroline. 1841 Abinger, Surrey 1851 Census - Chapel Cottages, Dorking, Surrey. Caroline is down as a visitor on this Census. and as Caroline OVERTON, with her two children. There is also a Harmel? Children - Caroline aged 31 Dressmaker, born Croydon, Surrey, Emma 23 Laundress Wash, born Lambeth, London, Frederick 14 Butchers Boy (Port) born Lambeth, London, William 12 born Lambeth, London. 1911 4a Tustin St Peckham S E With them was a Edward William BAX aged 3 a Grandson born Lambeth, London 1851 Census - Chapel Cottages, Dorking, Surrey. There was a Thomas OVERTON of the correct age living as a lodger at this address. He was lodging with a Frederick POULTON and family. Also with the family was a John OVERTON, aged 18, born Dorking which I did not have on this Chart (so born about 1853. I think he is a son of Caroline and I have added him above, but at present have not found him on the 1861 Census and he was not living with Caroline on that Census. 1881 Census - 12 Moat Place, Lambeth, London. Children Alice 5 born Dorking, Surrey, Thomas Robert 4 born Dorking, Surrey, Ada 7 months born Lambeth, London, There was also a Robert SORRELL, boarder, aged 81 born Waltham, Essex, (possibly father of Rosehanna) a widower and William SORRELL, aged 43 also born Waltham, Essex, a Labourer 1891 Census - 28 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London 1891 Census - 29 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London 1871 Census - 9 Stockwell Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London. There was a Thomas OVERTON of the correct age living as a lodger at this address. He was lodging with a Frederick POULTON and family. Also with the family was a John OVERTON, aged 18, born Dorking which I did not have on this Chart (so born about 1853. It is a job to decide what is correct and many of the children were registered as OVERTON (with an "O" for TON nor a "U". To avoid having to put OVERTU(O)N everytime I have used the name I have kept to the spelling OVERTUN but this could be incorrect.
