  1. 1861 Census - Dorking Surrey (the next property is called Furlongs, but no name of houses or streets given) Kitty and Thomas are down as daughter-in-law and son-in-law respectively on the 1861 Census. There was also a James HILTON, aged 5 a Nephew born Strood, Kent with the family.
1851 Census - Chapel Cottages, Dorking, Surrey. Caroline is down as a visitor on this Census. and as Caroline OVERTON, with her two children. There is also a Harmel? LINDSEY, aged 21 born Greenwich, Kent with Thomas, Caroline and children.
1871 Census - 9 Stockwell Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London. There was a Thomas OVERTON of the correct age living as a lodger at this address. He was lodging with a Frederick POULTON and family. Also with the family was a John OVERTON, aged 18, born Dorking which I did not have on this Chart (so born about 1853. I think he is a son of Caroline and I have added him above, but at present have not found him on the 1861 Census and he was not living with Caroline on that Census.
1881 Census - 12 Moat Place, Lambeth, London
1891 Census - 28 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London
1901 Census - 29 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London
  2. 1881 Census - 12 Moat Place, Lambeth, London
1891 Census - 28 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London
1901 Census - 29 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London
  3. 1881 Census - 12 Moat Place, Lambeth, London
1891 Census - 85 Stockwell Road, Stockwell, Lambeth, London, Alice is a Servant to a William HOPKINS, Curate of St Andrew, Stockwell, and Benjamin HORRACE a waiter and family, I do not know why there are two HEADS at this address, but Alice is below the HORRACE family so would think she was a servant to them.
  4. 1881 Census - 12 Moat Place, Lambeth, London
1891 Census - 28 Moat Place, Stockwell, Lambeth, London
  5. 1881 Census - 12 Moat Place, Lambeth, London

I have now changed the Charts, so the main heading duplicates the name on the Chart ie OVERTUN, OVERTON, OVERINGTON etc - there are lots of variants. However all the link boxes are OVERTUN and the list in the Index are all spelt OVERTUN. This is so that all the names are in one position and in order in the contents list.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
