  1. A Tanya HARRINGTON emailed me on 23rd October 2007with the following, I am slowly putting this information on the Web:  John & Sarah Elmore, you have their daughter Elizabeth (born 1852) as marrying either George William Bellamy or Alfred Tailby. She married George William Bellamy (my gt grandfather) and they had 2 children, Frank William (1874) and Laura (1875). Elizabeth died March 1884 in Berrywood Asylum, Northampton, from a wasting disease, and was buried in Kettering in unconsecrated ground on 6th March 1884.
The son Frank remained with his father, but Laura went to live with her uncle William Elmore and his wife Eleanor in Darlaston. George Bellamy marriedA his 2nd wife (my gt grandmother) Mary Taylor in Oct 1884 and had 8 more children.
Mary Martha Bellamy who married William Elmore, was a sister of the above George William Bellamy. Their father George was a tailor who made uniforms for railway staff, hence their 10 children were born in different towns with railway depots!
  2. 1881 Census - 3 Farmers Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire. George was with his father and family on this Census, his wife Elizabeth was not with him, but his son Frank was.
  3. 1871 Census - Farmers (Tanners)?  Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire.
  4. 1861 Census - Farmers (Tanners)? Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire.
  5. 1851 Census - Fanny appears to be with her parents on this Census, but there is no George with her, but a Henry W as a son, I think this is in fact George as the age ties up. This gives me the her maiden name, she is down as married and born in Apsley Guise, Bedfordshire, but as can be seen the family are in Woburn, so I am sure it is the correct person.  Her parents are William and Mary DAWBORN both born in Woburn, Bedfordshire. There are seven other siblings of William and Mary on this Census.
  6. 1891 Census - 3 Tanners Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire. John is down as being married on this Census, but there is no wife with him, he comes under his younger sister Rachel and then there is a Ernest Birtchnell BELLAMY, grandson, aged 9 a Scholar, born Kettering, Northants, so I suspect that Ernest was a son of John's (Have found the marriage of John to a Mary Jane BIRTCHNELL, but it is 1879, I will have to check the 1881 Census again as I have John as being at home with his parents, but this is also the case on this Census. He is with his wife and children and a lodger with the surname BIRTCHNELL on the 1901 Census  in Bath. (See note 15)
  7. NOT USED
  8. IGI Baptism. Ties up with Note 10, parents are as shown on 1851 Census. There are two other children's baptisms shown, for a Thomas DAWBORN, baptised 12th November 1826 and a William DAWBORN baptised 19th October 1828, both in Apsley Guise, Bedfordshire both with parents William and Mary.
  9. IGI Marriage for parents of Fanny. There is a marriage for a William DAWBORN and a Mary GILES on 21st October 1824 in Apsley Guise which I believe is the correct one for the parents of Fanny.
  10. IGI Baptisms - Woburn, Bedfordshire
  11. 1841 Census - Birchmoor Green, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  12. 1861 Census - Bedford Street, Woburn, Bedfordshire. Three children - Ruth, aged 5 born Crawley, Bedfordshire, a Scholar, Charles, aged 3 born Woburn, Bedfordshire  and Sarah A aged 8 months born Woburn, Bedfordshire. A Chart to put on for this family.
  13. 1881 Census - London Road, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  14. 1901 Census - 18 Almhouses, Bedford Street, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  15. 1861 Census - 8 Hanover Terrace, Christchurch, St Marylebone, London, Middlesex. Arthur was a servant on this Census.
  16. 1871 Census - 23 Birchmoor Green, Woburn, Bedfordshire.
  17. 1871 Census - 9 Perchester Place, Paddington, Middlesex. Children - Louisa 3 born Paddington, London and Arthur H aged 6 (or 6 months) born Marylebone, Middlesex. There was an Ann DALTON aged 20 as a Servant with the family.
  18. 1871 Census - 18 Lancaster Gate, St John Paddington, Middlesex. Henry was a Servant to a retired banker.
  19. 1871 Census - Stableman's Rooms, Woburn Abbey, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  20. 1871 Census - Union Street, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. William was a Lodger with a William WOODWARD and family.
  21. IGI Marriage - found details on the BMD but could not find on the a Census. The IGI give the marriage, so where I had a possibility of two men this confirms that Henry WORKER was the bridegroom.
  22. IGI Marriage - found on BMD but the IGI gives details of date and place.
  23. IGI Marriage - found on BMD but the IGI gives details of date and place.
  24. IGI Marriage - found on BMD but the IGI gives details of date and place. IGI gives the maiden name of Mary as SHAFSTER whereas the BMD gives it as SHAPTER
  25. 1871 Census - Pinfold Pond, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  26. 1881 Census - Pinfold Pond, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  27. 1901 Census - Pinfold, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  28. 1861 Census - Buckingham Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Child George WORKER, aged 2 born Woburn, Bedfordshire. They were lodgers with a Thomas SOUTHAM and family.
  29. 1871 Census - Causeway, Warkworth, Northamptonshire. Children - Ruth aged 9 born Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Jane 7 born Woburn, Bedfordshire, Harry 5 born Banbury, Oxfordshire?, Alice 3 born Banbury, Oxfordshire? and Mark Waller aged 1 born Banbury, Oxfordshire? (see 1881 for reason for query for birth place of the last three children.
  30. 1881 Census - 54 Causeway, Warkworth, Northamptonshire. Children, Jane, 17 Assistant at Home, born Woburn, Bedfordshire, Henry 15 Butchers Assistant born Grimsbury, Northamptonshire, Alice 13 a Domestic Servant, born Grimsbury, Northamptonshire, Mark 11 Assistant to father born Grimsbury, Northamptonshire, Lucy 5 Scholar, born Grimsbury, Northamptonshire and Rose 4 Scholar born Grimsbury.
  31. I think that John married a Lucy Mary HISCOCK in June quarter of 1857 in St Margaret's, Westminster. I have found two Census's with a John and a Lucy who would match although the age of John is slightly different, both say he was born in Bedfordshire. I have also found a death in the Colchester district of Essex that matches the birth date. However I am not certain it is the correct one and at present have just left it as this note.
  32. 1881 Census - 23 Birchmoor Green, Woburn, Bedfordshire
  33. IGI Birth, Baptism and Death. This child only appears on the IGI but I think he is one of the family as the parents are shown correctly.
  34. 1881 Census - 9 Porchester Place, St John Paddington, Paddington, Middlesex. Four children on this Census - Laura Marian, aged 13, Arthur Harry, aged 1o, Albert William, aged 7 and Ernest Walter, aged 5. There was a Ruth WORKER, a niece aged 17 a Domestic Servant born Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire with the family. There were also several lodgers and boarders as you would expect at a lodging house.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
