  2. 1861 Uppingham Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  3. 1871 1 Uppingham Terrace, Kettering Northamptonshire
  4. 1881 No 21 Albion Rd, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  5. 1881 25 Duke Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  6. 1891 25 Duke Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  7. 1901 Census - 163 Bath Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  8. 1881 Census 3 Spital Sq, Kettering, Northamptonshire. They had a son Frederick W HIGGINS, born about 1880, in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
  9. 1891 Census - Fanny HIGGINS was living at 1 Wood Street, St Giles, Northamptonshire, she is down as a Boarder at this address and as married but her husband is not with her, her son Frederick is down as 11 and a Scholar, both born in Kettering, Northamptonshire. She is in a house with a Charles LEWIS and his wife Sarah A LEWIS. It is possibly that Sarah A is the sister of Fanny as she is 37 and this would tie in with the Sarah on the Chart above. There are six children in the LEWIS family but no one else is living with them other than Fanny and Frederick. I have confirmed this a Sarah Ann ELMORE married a Charles LEWIS in March 1876 in Kettering, Northamptonshire
  10. 1891 Census - 1 Wood Street, St Giles, Northamptonshire, see Note 9. Cannot make sense of first word of Charles's occupation.
  11. 1901 Census - 2 Victoria Terrace, Kingsthorpe, Northamptonshire. Her sister Fanny was living at 3 Victoria Terrace and this time is down as a Widow. Her son Frederick was still with her.
  12. 1881 Census - 24 Lower Grafton St, Northampton Priory St Andrew, Northamptonshire
  13. 1841 Census - South Side, Swan Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire. John was with George MAY and family on this Census. (I was hoping this would give us he parents etc of John,)
  14. IGI Information, I think this is the correct person, so the 1822 could be wrong, the Censuses show him born in 1821. If correct his parents are down as William ELMORE and Ann. Again if this is correct there were three other ELMORE children for William and Ann baptised at the Great Meeting Independent in Kettering, James, 8th October 1815, Hannah,10th August 1817 and William, 17th August 1819.
  15. 1881 Census - Curtis Yard, Middleton, Cottingham, Northamptonshire. John had married again on this Census. With John and Fanny was Ann MAYDWELL, widow, aged 70, born Medbourne, Leicestershire. a Mason's widow. John is down as son-in-law and Fanny as daughter, so giving us the maiden name of Fanny, on the BMD, John is down as marrying Fanny Corby HEEPS, so giving us her married name
  16. The BMD marriage gives Charles HEAPS name as shown but on Fanny's marriage to John ELMORE it is shown as HEEPS. On Fanny's marriage to Charles HEAPS their is an alternative spelling of MAYDWELL as MAIDWELL
  17. 1871 Census - Cottage, Middleton, Cottingham, Northamptonshire. Fanny is down as married, but her husband Charles is not with her. She is with her parents, her father Francis, aged 73 was still alive on this Census, a Mason, he was born in Middleton, his wife Ann was with him. Fanny had a daughter as shown above.
  18. 1861 Census - High Street, Middleton, Northamptonshire. Finally have Charles HEAPS on this Census, they must have married before the Census. Charles and Fanny are still with Fanny's parents. Both Francis and Ann are on Parish Relief.
  19. 1891 Census - Rockingham Road, Cottingham, Northamptonshire
  20. 1901 Census - Corby Road, Cottingham, Northamptonshire.
  21. An email from a Tanya HARRINGTON on 23rd October 2007 gives me the following information: On your chart for John & Sarah Elmore, you have their daughter Elizabeth (born 1852) as marrying either George William Bellamy or Alfred Tailby. She married George William Bellamy (my gt grandfather) and they had 2 children, Frank William (1874) and Laura (1875). Elizabeth died March 1884 in Berrywood Asylum, Northampton, from a wasting disease, and was buried in Kettering in unconsecrated ground on 6th March 1884.
The son Frank remained with his father, but Laura went to live with her uncle William Elmore and his wife Eleanor in Darlaston. George Bellamy married his 2nd wife (my gt grandmother) Mary Taylor in Oct 1884 and had 8 more children.
Mary Martha Bellamy who married William Elmore, was a sister of the above George William Bellamy. Their father George was a tailor who made uniforms for railway staff, hence their 10 children were born in different towns with railway depots!
From this information I will put on a BELLAMY Chart 0500 for the children of Elizabeth and George and also a BELLAMY Chart 0600 to show the connection of Mary Martha BELLAMY and George William BELLAMY.
  22. 1881 Census - High Street, Great Bowden, Northamptonshire. Fanny was a cook to a Thomas Goodwin Goward and his family, a Grocer employing 4 men and a boy.
  23. 1891 Census - Rockingham, Northamptonshire. They had a son Frank Walter, aged 3 born Cottingham, Northamptonshire
  24. 1901 Census - Hall Yard, Weekley, Northamptonshire. Four children on this Census, Frank Walter, aged 13 odd boy for Clergy? Man? born Cottingham, Northamptonshire, John William 8 born Rockingham, Northamptonshire, Albert 3 born Weekley, Northamptonshire and Charles 9 months, born Weekley, Northamptonshire.
  25. 1881 Census - High Street, Cottingham, Northamptonshire. Father was John FREESTONE, born Great Easton, Leicestershire, he was 60 and an Ag Lab, his wife wife was Amy aged 59 born Cottingham, Northamptonshire, There was also another son, William, aged 35 an Ag Lab also born Cottingham, Northamptonshire.
  26. 1871 Census - High Street, Cottingham, Northamptonshire. As Note 25 for George and Amy and William but 10 years younger, there was also a Samuel W, he is under William but appears to be one year older and is down as 27, an Ag Lab and another son John J aged 13 also an Ag Lab.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
