  1. A Tanya HARRINGTON emailed me on 23rd October 2007with the following, I am slowly putting this information on the Web:  John & Sarah Elmore, you have their daughter Elizabeth (born 1852) as marrying either George William Bellamy or Alfred Tailby. She married George William Bellamy (my gt grandfather) and they had 2 children, Frank William (1874) and Laura (1875). Elizabeth died March 1884 in Berrywood Asylum, Northampton, from a wasting disease, and was buried in Kettering in unconsecrated ground on 6th March 1884.
The son Frank remained with his father, but Laura went to live with her uncle William Elmore and his wife Eleanor in Darlaston. George Bellamy married his 2nd wife (my gt grandmother) Mary Taylor in Oct 1884 and had 8 more children.
Mary Martha Bellamy who married William Elmore, was a sister of the above George William Bellamy. Their father George was a tailor who made uniforms for railway staff, hence their 10 children were born in different towns with railway depots!
  2. 1861 Census - Uppingham Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  3. 1871 1 Uppingham Terrace, Kettering Northamptonshire
  4. 1891 Census - 21 Field Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  5. 1901 Census - 29 Upper Field Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  6. 1881 Census - 3 Farmers Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire
  7. 1871 Census - Farmers Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire.
  8. 1861 Census - Farmers Lane, Kettering, Northamptonshire.
  9. 1881 Census - Darlaston, Staffordshire - See Note 1, Tanya states the following: The son Frank remained with his father, but Laura went to live with her uncle William Elmore and his wife Eleanor in Darlaston. I assume that William ELMORE was in fact a brother of John ELMORE the father of Elizabeth above as I have found a William ELMORE with a wife Eleanor in Darlaston, Staffordshire on the 1881 Census. They do indeed have a niece with them which would make it the correct relationship, the only problem is that she is not down as Laura but as Sarah E BELLAMY. William is down as being 62 and a Cordwainer, born Kettering, Northamptonshire, his wife Eleanor is 54 and born Darlaston, Staffordshire. As well as Sarah they have a boarder, but no children of their own on this Census.
  10. 1891 Census - 13 Mill Lane, Darlaston, Staffordshire. Only William, his wife Eleanor and now in this case Laura E Bellamy, now aged 15 born Kettering, Northants, William is down as a Shoe Maker.
  11. 1901 Census - 13 Mill Lane, Darlaston, Staffordshire. Down as Laura BELLAMY aged 25 a Tailoress, she is down as a cousin to a John J HORTON, an Ironworkers Labourer aged46 born Darlaston, Staffordshire.
  12. 1901 Census - 110 Vicarage Road, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. Frank was a Boarder at this address.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
