    Will of Thomas Hewett
    This is the last Will and Testament of Mr Thomas Hewitt of Margate in the Isle of Thanet in the County of Kent Yeoman First I give and bequeath all my money securities for money personal estate whatsoever unto my son William Hewitt and John Wetherall of Margate there Executors Administrators and Assigns in Trust for my Sons and Daughter and Grand Children to be applied and disposed of pursuant to the Trusts and Directions hereinafter contained that is to say it is my Will and desire that my money shall be equally divided into Nine Shares Seven to be paid to my Sons and Daughters now living and the other two to be paid to the Children of my Son John and Daughter Mary Holloway the Children of my son John to receive there Father’s Share and the Children of my Daughter Mary to receive there Mother Share of ten pounds per year until they shall have received there full share of my said money to my daughter Elizabeth Pullin the like yearly sum of ten pounds until she shall have received her full share to my son Edward Hewitt the like yearly sum of ten pounds until he shall receive his full share of my money to my daughter Martha Lawrence the like yearly sum of ten pounds until she shall have received her full share of it should please God that any of my sons or daughters should die within six months after my decease the share of such son or daughter to be passed to there children except my son Edward he having no children his share to be paid to my sons and daughters then living and I will and direct that no money shall be paid by my Executors to my sons or daughters or grand children until six months after my decease my Linen to be equally divided among my daughters and my apparel to be equally divided among my sons and that as soon as my Executors shall think proper and if it should please God to take my Daughter Elizabeth Pullin or my Daughter Martha Lawrence before they shall have received their full share the remainder part to be paid to there Children and my Will is that my said Executors shall and lawfully may retain and deduct out of the aforesaid Trust Money all such losses damages and expenses as they shall sustain to be paid in or about the Execution or Defence of this my last Will and the Trusts hereby reposed in them And I do appoint my said son William Hewitt and John Wetherill my Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal and 21 day of May in the fifty second year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Third and in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twelve The Mark X of Thomas Hewitt Signed Sealed by the Testator Thomas Hewitt and by him published and declared as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who here subscribe our names in his presence of Wm Warren Thos Cayley
