    Obituary
It is with deep regret that we record the death of Mr Fergus Hunsley of Crowle, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The deceased gentleman had reached the advanced age of 81 years, and was an old and very highly respected resident. For a great number of years he was closely connected with the Baptist Church, and had been a teacher in the Sunday School. When he resided at the Moors he carried on business as a market gardener, until failing health compelled him to relinquish his occupation, He had been confined to his bed for several months. Deep sympathy is felt for his widow and family (four daughter and three sons) in their bereavement.

    Obituary
Yet another old resident - Mrs Betsy Hunsley - passed away on Friday afternoon last. The deceased, who was the widow of Fergus Hunsley, had only been ill during the week prior to her death, suffering from pneumonia. She was 75 years of age, and was very highly respected. For many years she had been a member of the Baptist Church and had been an ardent worker for its welfare. Deep sympathy is felt for her family in their bereavement.

    1881 Crowle, Yorkshire

    Information from Barrie HUNSLEY 30/12/2006
Sergeant Joe HUNSLEY joined the army at the age of 18 after an argument with his father Fergus. He wrote a series of letters to his parents and grandparents describing his thoughts and travels through Africa, Mauritius and India with the 2nd York and Lancaster Regiment. He was a teacher to native boys an girls. He was engaged to be married to a lady in India, but tragically died of enteric fever at the age of 27 only a few days before he was due to return home.
  4. 1871 Crowle, Lincolnshire
    1881 Crowle, Yorkshire
1891 Norwood Rise, Brightside Brielow, Yorkshire. Cook to Benjamin MAKIN a Steel Manufacturer. Barrie HUNSLEY is not sure about this as Joseph HUNSLEY in a letter dated 1894  mentions Mary having returned from the New World and taking into account the time it  would take to travel there and back and the time spent there it seem to Barrie that this  Mary who was a Cook in 1891 might not be his aunt.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
