1851 Census - 1 Southwood, St Lawrence, Kent. Dorothy the mother of George is the Head of family a widow aged 78, born St Lawrence, Kent she is down as a Cow Keeper and Margate, Gardener.  There are three grandchildren with the family - William NORRIS Grandson aged 9 Scholar St Lawrence, Kent, Ann R Granddaughter aged 7 Scholar St Lawrence, Kent and Eliza Caroline Grandaughter 8 Scholar born Chislett, Kent. I think William and Ann R were children of George and Ann but I do not think that Eliza Caroline was as she was born in Chislett, Kent and appears after William and Ann although she was older than Ann.
1861 Census - Providence Cottage, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent, also with this family was the mother of George NORRIS, Dorothy NORRIS, a widow aged 88 born St Lawrence, Kent

  5. 1851 Census - 1 Southwood, St Lawrence, Kent. There is a William NORRIS down as a Grandson on this Census, I have nothing to prove he was a child of the couple above other than he comes between his parents and Anne R who was definitely a daughter of this couple and he was born in Ramsgate, the last child Eliza Caroline was born in Chislett and I have discounted her as a child of this couple. However being down as 8 years old this makes him born in 1843 the same year as George for whom we have found a baptism.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
