I would have discarded this at not the right William, but he is down as married, married 38 years which is correct and having had 12 children which is also about correct. So what happened to the rest of the family if this is the correct person and why is he living in London as a Printers Messenger when he has been a Coachman for rest of his life. (see information for Rose below) (Now certain correct person - see Note 2)

    1901 Padhams Green, Mountnessing, Essex. With William and Lucy was a daughter Lucy Ellen RILEY aged 39 a Cook (Domestic) born Mountnessing, Essex. She is down as single. Also with them was a George Wm RILEY Grandson, aged 18 an Ordinary Agricultural Labourer born Mountnessing, Essex. We do not have a Lucy Ellen until this Census but thee was an Ellen on the 1871 Census and the age tie up, so I believe same person, more research needed
