  1. 1841 Waterhouse Farm, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was Martha GARWOOD aged 84 born in Essex (? Rebecca's mother)
1851 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex (Isaac is down as John on this Census)
1861 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex
1871 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex. With Isaac and Rebecca was a Joseph STONE aged 32 an Ag Labourer born Blackmoor, Essex
1881 Back Lane, Great Burstead, Essex. With a daughter Elizabeth DICKERSON aged 51 (first mention of this child but her father is down as Wife's father) There were two lodgers with the family
  2. 1841 Waterhouse Farm, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was Martha GARWOOD aged 84 born in Essex (? Rebecca's mother)
1851 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex
1861 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex
1871 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex. With Isaac and Rebecca was a Joseph STONE aged 32 an Ag Labourer born Blackmoor, Essex
  3. 1841 Waterhouse Farm, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was Martha GARWOOD aged 84 born in Essex (? Rebecca's mother)
1851 Padhams Green, Mountnessing, Essex.  With the family as lodgers were James AYLETT aged 16 an Ag Lab born Mountnessing, Essex and Edward PASFIELD aged 15 an Ag Lab born Mountnessing, Essex.
1861 Elm Cottage, Padhams Green, Mountnessing, Essex.
    1871 Mountnessing, Essex.
1881 No 2 Elm Cottage, Padom Green, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was a Jemima LENTON a visitor aged 34 an Servant Domestic born Makensworth, Hampshire.
    1891 Padoms Green, Mountnessing, Essex
1901 Padhams Green, Mountnessing, Essex. With William and Lucy was a daughter Lucy Ellen RILEY aged 39 a Cook (Domestic) born Mountnessing, Essex. She is down as single. Also with them was a George Wm RILEY Grandson, aged 18 an Ordinary Agricultural Labourer born Mountnessing, Essex. (In the next property was a William RILEY a Widower aged 65 a Horseman on Farm born Mountnessing, Essex (Have not checked to see if this William belong to our RILEY family)
  4. 1841 Not found at present
1851 Green Street, Ingateston, Essex. Thomas was Head born Ingatestone, Essex, Elizabeth his wife is 24 born Mountnessing, Essex and daughter Ellen aged 3 born Mountnessing, Essex
1861 Queen Street, South Weald, Essex. (From information on Family Tree on Ancestry.com it appears that Elizabeth married first to a SORREL, this census seems to prove it. Henry DICKERSON was head of household aged 45 a Brickmaker. His wife was Elizabeth down as being 35 (I think she was younger but as her husband was 10 years older even with the age she gave I think they might have adjusted there ages, it happened a lot at that time). Then there was a John DICKERSON aged 15 a Brickmakers boy, born Brentwood, Essex (again I would think a son of Henry from a previous married) Then there is an Ellen SORREL down as daughter in law (could not be that as she is only 14 born in Mountnessing, Essex, so I think a daughter of Elizabeth, for her first marriage)
1871 9 Albert Street, Mile End Old Town, London. Elizabeth and her husband Henry were visiting a Charles C LODGE aged 26 a Coal Porter born ???, Essex and Lucy E LODGE aged 23 born Mountnessing, Essex. I have now found that this Lucy E LODGE's maiden name was SORRELL and she was married on 19th November 1865 to Charles Claydon LODGE at St Peter's, Bethnal Green. As we know she was born in Mountnessing, I now think she must be related to the first husband of her sister Elizabeth RILEY and the wife of her eldest brother Lucy Ellen SORRELL
1881 Back Lane, Great Burstead, Essex. (this is the first time we have had Elizabeth, but Isaac her father is with the family as wife's father. She is 51 so she fits in with a 1830 birth. There were two lodgers with the family.
1891 Back Lane, Great Burstead, Essex
1901 Back Lane, Great Burstead, Essex
  5. 1841 Waterhouse Farm, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was Martha GARWOOD aged 84 born in Essex (? Rebecca's mother)
  6. 1841 Waterhouse Farm, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was Martha GARWOOD aged 84 born in Essex (? Rebecca's mother)
  7. 1841 Waterhouse Farm, Mountnessing, Essex. With the family was Martha GARWOOD aged 84 born in Essex (? Rebecca's mother)
  8. 1851 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex
1861 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex . There is a Louisa down as married with her husband on this Census, the age ties up with Lucy on the 1851 Census so I believe the same person.
1861 I think Lucy (Louisa) died shortly after this census and the John married again to an Ann born 1846 Great Waltham, Essex so in
1871 Padhams Green, Mountnessing, Essex we have John aged 32 an Ag Labourer born Downham, with wife Ann aged 25 born Great Waltham with children William aged 2 and Emily E aged 10 months both born Mountnessing, Essex. (However I cannot find a marriage for a John KIRBY to an Ann between 1861 and 1871)
  9. 1851 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex
1861 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex
    1871 Not found at present
    1881 Broad Street, Dagenham, Essex.
    1891 Broad Street, Dagenham, Essex.
    1901 Church Street, Dagenham, Essex.
    1911 Crown Street, Dagenham, Essex.
  10. 1851 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex (John on the 1851 Census, Isaac on the 1861)?
1861 Burnt House Lane, Mountnessing, Essex  (John on the 1851 Census, Isaac on the 1861)?
1871 Hatch, Chingford, Essex. Isaac was a Lodger with Edward WHITE aged 48 a Farm Bailiff born Blackmore, Essex and his wife Ann WHITE aged 57 born Bradwell, Essex.
    1881 Green Farm, Chingford, Essex.

Further information for this Chart was taken from a Family Tree on Ancestry.com. At the present time I have not verified any of the information taken from other sources

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
