  1. 1851 Census - Shere, Surrey
  2. 1841 Census - Jesseys, Shere, Surrey
  3. 1861 Census - Gravel Pits, Shere, Surrey
  4. 1871 Census - Gomshall, Shere, Surrey
  5. 1841 Census - Lane End, Shere, Surrey. Phillip was head of Household, down as head of Household and aged 78 with him was Job and his wife Mary. No wife with Philip so assume she had died before this Census. Philip, Job and Mary are down as being born in Surrey. There is a TIDY family next door to Philip and family, with a John TIDY as head but as he is only 40 I would think it is possible that he was a brother of Mary TICKNER née TIDY.
  6. IGI marriage details
  7. IGI Baptism, I think the same applies to this Chart as TICKNER 0600, I think the birth dates given on the Family Tree Maker site of Alan-R-TICKNER are in fact baptism dates. Again I have left as I have been given and found information. The marriage date above is the same on the Family Tree Maker site and the IGI
  8. IGI Baptism. Again the birth and baptism dates are the same, so I think Rebecca, Lucy and Ann were born earlier. Not all the TICKNER baptisms for this family appear on the IGI. In fact it appears that only the females are recorded, with none of the males appearing for some reason.
  9. 1851 Census - Shere, Surrey. Ancestry.com has Job's age as 37, which it definitely is not, it looks as though it is 42 which would be correct. Mary is down as 37 which is possibly more correct than the 1841 Census which can be variable so I have changed her age to match this Census. They had a daughter, Esther, aged 6 born Shere, Surrey on this Census.
  10. 1861 Census - Shere, Surrey, age correct on this Census. Esther their daughter still with them, no other siblings. Esther was down as Servant out of place.
  11. 1871 Census - Peaslake, Shere, Surrey. There was a George W LONGHURST, grandson, aged 2 born Dover, Kent with the family. There was also a lodger.
  12. 1841 Census - Abinger, Surrey. Children - Esther 16 (I think it could be 76), then Jane 8, Amy 5 and Martha 2. Seeing we have the marriage of James in 1820 I would think that Esther is 16 and a daughter, the mother of James was Mary and I have already found her husband with son Job with her so I think this discounts her completely, so I think is must be 16.
  13. Original marriage details from Family Tree Maker Site, actual date of marriage from the IGI.
  14. 1851 Census - High ???, Abinger, Surrey. Children on this census - Jane 17 born Abinger, Martha 12 Scholar, born Abinger, James 7 Scholar, born Abinger,
  15. 1851 Census - Shere, Surrey
  16. 1841 Census - Burying Place, Shere, Surrey
  17. 1841 Census - Sutton, Shere, Surrey. This is only a possiblity, but the age for Thomas is correct. They had a son John who was down as 8 on this Census. Cannot find a marriage on the IGI which matches.
  18. IGI marriage. I cannot find on any census, but there are quite a few EDSAR's and variant spellings in Shere, Surrey. Now think I have found on 1841 Census as EDSON, no children. The reason I think it is right is that they are in the next property to Philip, Lucy's father and her brother Job and looking at it I think it says EDSER.
  19. IGI Marriage, I have been looking for this marriage for some time and I think it is correct, I was not looking for it quite earlier enough.
  20. IGI Baptism. I then went from this and looked for a baptism of a child for John and Charlotte. I put in the parents name and the most likely names given, ie John and Charlotte, None for Charlotte but there was a John TICKNER baptised, 30th January 1814, Shere Surrey to a John and Charlotte TICKNER. This gives me another family. So from this I looked for TICKNERs using the batch number, I had already looked at most of them, but there is a James TICKNER with a John and Charlotte as parents baptised on 6th October 1816 in Shere, Surrey, so I think this is another son. No other children match.
  21. IGI Baptism, parents of Charlotte FURLONGER were John and Ann.
  22. IGI Baptism, I think this is the most likely for the birth date and baptism of Mary. There is another slight possibility in 1755 in Albury, but I think this is the more likely as they married in Shere, and therefore it would be her parish on marriage. If correct her parents were James and Ann HARRIS
  23. IGI Baptism. Again I think this is the correct baptism, if so Charlotte's parents were Thomas and Amy TANNER.
  24. I think it is possible that Millie was shortened from Amelia. If this is the case there is a marriage of a Thomas TICKNER to an Amelia TICKNER in 1825 in Shere, Surrey. Although it says it was extracted from the actual records there is no actual date of marriage, which is unusual. Again assuming this is the case there are other children on the IGI for Thomas and Amelia other than the son John who appears on the 1841 Census: Amelia TICKNER, baptised 15th January 1826 Shere Surrey, Eliza TICKNER baptised 18th February 1828 Shere, Surrey,

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
