  1. 1841 Census - Village, Felstead, Essex.
1851 Census for Felstead is missing, so cannot find any details of the families living there in 1851.
1861 I have not found Henry on the 1861 Census. There is a Henry Thorogood, down as 22 years old, so born in 1839, born Felstead, Essex on board an HMS vessel in Cornwall. He is down as a Private R.M. and could be the correct person but appears to be four years younger than he should have been.
1871 Census - Kingston Road, Merton, Surrey. I have found Henry, living next door to Betsey Chittenden, and her father. He was a Lodger and a Labourer. He was down as being born in Chelmsford, Essex, but we know he was baptised in Felsted, Essex.
1881 Census. 9 Whites Cottages Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Surrey
1891 Census -  Willow Cottages, Kingston Road, Wimbledon, Surrey
1901 Census - 1 Willow Cottages, Kingston Road, North Wimbledon, Surrey
  2. 1841 Census - Cranbrooke, Kent
1851 Census - Ivy House, High Street, Tonbridge, Kent
1861 Census - "No 2 The Terrace, Tonbridge, Kent.
1871 Census - Kingston Road, Merton, Surrey. With the family was a Kate Ellen KETTLE who was 14 and born in Tonbridge, Kent. Her occupation is difficult to read it looks like House Situation, she is down as a niece, there was also a Frederick KETTLE who was 18 months and born in Tonbridge, he is down as nephew. My wife's Aunt has kept on at me to find out about the KETTLE's. This is the first reference I have had to them.
1881 Census. 9 Whites Cottages Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Surrey
1891Census -  Willow Cottages, Kingston Road, Wimbledon, Surrey
1901 Census - 1 Willow Cottages, Kingston Road, North Wimbledon, Surrey
1907 631 Kingston Road, Raynes Park, Surrey
Probate - Betsey Chittenden - of Raynes-park Wimbledon Surrey (wife of Henry Thorogood) died 19 January 1907 at Willow-cottage Raynes-park Probate London 23 February to Frederick Charles Thorogood assistant-engineer and William Henry Thorogood postman. Effects £1477 9s.
  3. 1901 Census - Argyll Street, St James, Westminster, London. This address appears to be for a very large Drapers, at least 120 employees.
1911 Census - 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London. Living with Harriet, sisters Minnie who was married with children to a George HOARE and Evelyn who was married and a visitor to the HOARE address.
1923-1925 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll) Frederick and Harriet were both on this return
1926  and 1928 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll) With Frederick and Harriet were George Henry and Minnie Hoare, there was also a William Thomas HOARE, was this a son or was it still the brother of George Henry.
1929 and 1930 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll) With Frederick and Harriet were George Henry and Minnie Hoare, there was also a William Thomas HOARE, was this a son or was it still the brother of George Henry. There were also listed daughters Evelyn Mary HOARE and Winifred Olivia HOARE
1931,  1932 ,  1933 and 1934 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll) With Frederick and Harriet were George Henry and Minnie Hoare, there was also a William Thomas HOARE, was this a son or was it still the brother of George Henry. There was also daughter Winifred Olivia HOARE
1936,  1937,  1938 and 1939 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll) With Frederick and Harriet were George Henry and Minnie Hoare, there was also a William Thomas HOARE, was this a son or was it still the brother of George Henry. There was also daughter Winifred Olivia HOARE and a son George Henry HOARE jnr
1939 97 Lavenham Road, Wandsworth, London. George H HOARE born 30th April 1875 Carpenter and Joiner, Minnie HOARE born 29th March 1874 Unpaid Domestic Duties, Winifred O HOARE born 28th September 1905 Cashier and Typist (Drapers), George H HOARE born 4th October 1914 Textile Salesman, Frederick C THOROGOOD born 10th October 1869 Night Watchman (Retired) Harriet THOROGOOD born 31st August 1875 Unpaid DOmestic Duties
1946 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll) With Frederick and Harriet were George Henry and Minnie Hoare, there was also a William Thomas HOARE, was this a son or was it still the brother of George Henry. There was also daughter Winifred Olivia HOARE. The son George Henry HOARE (junior) was not with family on this Electoral Roll, but on another Electoral Roll for the same year he does appear. I would think he was in the forces as after his name is (AXA/4919:90)
1947,  1950, 1951, 1952, 1953 and 1955 97 Lavenham Road, Southfields, London (London Electoral Roll). As I had already found Harriet had died before this Electoral Roll so she does not appear. The HOARE family is still with Frederick, including son George Henry HOARE still with (AXA/4919:90) after his name) (Still no Evelyn Mary). . Frederick died in December 1955 so I would think Electoral Roll details had gone in before he died and he appears on the 1956 Electoral Roll.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
